Operating with a unique guide style focused on the limited and carefully selected fields of Aizu, he spends more than 300 days a year in the field.


Specializing in photographing three iconic bird species — the crested kingfisher, mountain hawk-eagle, and ruddy kingfisher — he achieves a high success rate through deep field knowledge and original observation techniques.


Based in the rich natural environment of Aizu, he offers guided wildlife photography experiences for photographers from Japan and around the world. Beyond simple observation or photography, his focus is on helping guests capture images worthy of becoming lasting works of art.



【Selected Achievements】


November 2019 – Contributed an article to Monthly BIRDER magazine’s “New Bird Photography Guidebook for Keeping Up with Advancing Equipment,” focusing on techniques for capturing sharp bird photos in low light and reducing super-telephoto camera shake.


December 2019 – Appeared on FM Fukushima as a wildlife guide and bird photographer.


June 2020 – Provided ruddy kingfisher photographs for Fuji TV’s “Tokudane!” television program.


June 2025 – Contributed a 4-page feature article on finding Japanese kingfisher species in the June issue of Monthly BIRDER magazine.


December 2025 – Selected as the cover photographer for Monthly BIRDER magazine.


April 2026 – Featured in the opening gravure section of Monthly BIRDER magazine with a photographic series focused on the crested kingfisher.


Currently, he specializes in wildlife photography guiding within the Aizu region, providing photography experiences for everyone from beginners to advanced photographers. He also actively hosts seminars and lectures to share both the techniques and appeal of wildlife photography.
